Why I Started Trusted Aged Care.
A personal reason. A professional purpose.
Trusted Aged Care Services began with my own family.
When my great-grandmother and later my nanna were entering aged care, my aunts and uncles came to me with questions about refundable accommodation deposits, fees and what would happen financially when they left care. Despite my experience as a financial adviser, I could not confidently answer all their questions.
I completed specialist aged care advice accreditation through Aged Care Steps and quickly discovered just how complex the system was. Even with a master’s degree in financial planning and decades of experience, I found it difficult to navigate. I could only imagine how overwhelming it must feel for older Australians and their families, often making important decisions during an emotional and stressful time.
I established Trusted Aged Care Services to give families the specialist knowledge, clear explanations and compassionate guidance I felt my own family needed. It remains the reason we take the time to listen, simplify the options and help each family make informed decisions with greater confidence.
